Lane Departure Warning System and Blind Spot Radar
PRECO SIDE DEFENDER II is a radar-based safety system designed to monitor the blind spots on the sides of large vehicles. It assists the driver when turning, maneuvering, pulling away, and driving in city traffic, where pedestrians, cyclists, motorcycles, or other vehicles may be in the vicinity of the vehicle.
The system uses 24 GHz radar technology and monitors the area along the side of the vehicle. The driver receives audible and visual alerts directly in the cab, allowing them to react more quickly to hazardous situations in the blind spot.
The PRECO SIDE DEFENDER II is designed for demanding operating conditions. It works in freezing temperatures, rain, snow, dust, and even heavy dirt. It is resistant to vibrations, impacts, and high-pressure cleaning. By filtering out stationary objects, it helps reduce the number of false alarms, for example, when driving past guardrails, parked vehicles, or fixed infrastructure.
